Data protection as well as the secure and safe handling are of great importance for simplesurance. In order to meet the continuously increasing requirements, simplesurance has mandated T-Systems Multimedia Solutions GmbH as external data protection officer. Taking into account new regulatory obligations as well as new technological developments, T-Systems MMS will assist us with their many years of experience and know how in all relevant aspects of data protection.

simplesurance processes your personal data in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations as defined under the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the German Telemedia Act (TMG) and the German law against unfair competition (UWG).

The use of our website is usually possible without providing personal information. To the extent that personal data (e.g. email address) is requested, providing such information is always voluntary. Customer data is solely used if our services have been used. In the course of contracting insurance, we will request only details on the product to be insured and your email address (required field). The IP address is only evaluated in case of an attack against our website's infrastructure. Moreover, the data are processed in anonymised form for statistical purposes.

You can revoke your explicit consent to use or process your data at any time via [email protected] and you may also request information on any further recipients thereof. Security – Safeguarding Your Online Transactions – SSL-encryption

As your privacy is important to us, we are operating with one of the market's best-known technologies called SSL, "Secure Socket Layer" (SSL 3.0 encryption, 2048-bit RSA key). SSL allows sensitive information such as credit card numbers, personal details and login credentials to be transmitted securely.

Secure payment

There are no risks involved when you pay for your insurance policies. simplesurance transmits your contact details and the ordered policies to our partners Saferpay, PayPal or PayCo in separate, specially encrypted forms. Then you will be automatically forwarded to the partner's secure server, where you enter the required payment details. Any payment details will be entered exclusively on pages hosted by certified external payment service providers. simplesurance does not save any payment-relevant data, such as e.g. credit card or bank account details.


This website uses so-called cookies which are used to make our internet presence an overall more user-friendly, effective and secure service. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer system. In these cases, the amount of the transmitted data shall be restricted to the necessary minimum. Our privacy policy is in accordance with the German Federal Data Privacy Law (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG).
